Downtown Lighting

As an outcome of the downtown circulation study this small project will install several pedestrian scale decorative posts with LED light fixtures along identified blocks of Springfield’s downtown in phases. The LED light fixtures have been identified for installation in this key location in Springfield’s downtown to improve safety, visibility, and aesthetic in the area. The City purchased the light fixtures from the City of San Diego for $85 each then renovated them for LED lighting. Combined, this creates a high quality light fixture with low energy use and a long life span at a low cost for the City to install and operate.

Project News
As funding becomes available additional phases will be installed. The City continues to look for innovative technology to save money, protect assets, and better serve the community.
